Turkey is Opening its Shopping Centres
Turkey has announced that the number of COVID-19 cases has reduced; therefore, the government are now taking measures and plans to open shopping centres.
The Coronavirus Situation in The Country
In Turkey, there was a minimal increase in the number of cases during the month. As of May 4, there have been 1670 new cases, and more than 4800 have recovered. In this regard, President Erdogan announced the possibility of opening shopping centres.
First, they will open shopping centres that are located in the areas which had the least number of cases and expected to open between May 8-15. Buyers will only be able to visit shops. Other places, such as cafes, cinemas and children's playgrounds, will be closed for now.
Here are the rules to ensure peoples safety:
- Shopping centres will be provided with dispensers with antiseptics.
- Employees and visitors will have to wear masks.
- Social distancing is required.
The number of customers who can simultaneously be in the shopping centre will be limited.
